Eco World's 1Q Net Profit Soars To RM156.41 Mln On Stronger Sales

KUALA LUMPUR, March 12 (Bernama) -- Property developer Eco World Development Group Bhd’s (Eco World) net profit rose to RM156.41 million in the first quarter ended Jan 31, 2026 (1Q FY2026), from RM80.34 million in 1Q FY2025.

Revenue for the quarter under review jumped by 150.8 per cent to RM1.35 billion from RM539.63 million previously, boosted by the completion of industrial land sales.

“In 1Q FY2026, the group completed the sale of 56.06 hectares of industrial land located within Eco Business Park I in Iskandar Malaysia, Johor, and 23.55 hectares of industrial land at Eco Business Park V in Selangor.

“Other projects that contributed to the growth include Eco Botanic, Eco Botanic 2, Eco Spring, Eco Tropics, Eco Business Park I, Eco Business Park III and Eco Business Park VI in the Southern Region and Eco Majestic, Eco Forest, Eco Sanctuary and Paragon Pinnacle in the Central Region,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

Eco World president and chief executive officer Datuk Chang Khim Wah said the sales outperformance is a testament to the increasing breadth and depth of market penetration achieved by all the group’s revenue pillars.

He said the growth in sales also enabled Eco World to comprehensively serve buyers across every market segment.

“This key competitive advantage was gained through years of ongoing value creation, community building and intentional placemaking, which thoughtfully considered the specific lifestyle needs, aspirations and business requirements of our customer base at each individual project,” he said.

Chang said moving forward, the property developer remains optimistic about its prospects and the strength of fundamental demand for projects and products.

“Nevertheless, we acknowledge the uncertainties that lie ahead due to the ongoing West Asia crisis, unresolved tariff wars and other global headwinds.

“As such, we will remain prudent on future investments, continue implementing cost-saving measures and exercise a high degree of financial discipline over our operations,” he added.

Eco World also declared a higher first interim dividend of 2.0 sen per share for the financial year ending Oct 31, 2026, payable on April 13, 2026.
