Gold Futures End Higher, tracking US COMEX Gains
KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed mostly higher on Tuesday, in line with strength in the US COMEX market.
At the close, the spot-month March 2026 contract rose to US$5,200.4 per troy ounce from US$5,139.10 on Monday, April 2026 was higher at US$5,219.4 per troy ounce compared to US$5,157.60 yesterday and May 2026 strengthened to US$5,238.6 per troy ounce from US$5,176.70 previously.
The June and August 2026 contracts also settled higher at US$5,272.5 per troy ounce, compared to US$5,210.60 previously.
Trading volume fell to nine lots from 12 lots yesterday, while open interest decreased to 86 contracts from 96 contracts previously.
Physical gold was fixed at US$5,086.35 per troy ounce at the London Bullion Market Association afternoon fix on March 9, 2026.
