Mavenir, Turkcell Team Up On AI-Native Mobile Services

KUALA LUMPUR, March 5 (Bernama) -- Mavenir, the software company building artificial intelligence (AI)-by-design mobile networks, and Turkcell, Türkiye’s leading telecommunications firm, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to accelerate the deployment of AI-powered voice and messaging applications.

The collaboration is focused on supporting Turkcell’s strategy to introduce services that streamline customers' daily lives and significantly improve their overall experience, according to Mavenir in a statement.

Mavenir Senior Vice President & General Manager, Cloud, AI & IMS Business Strategy, Brandon Larson noted that the integration of AI redefines the economics of voice and messaging capabilities while helping Turkcell introduce exciting new services.

Meanwhile, Turkcell Chief Technology Officer, Prof Dr Vehbi Çağrı Güngör said the company emphasises the focus on high-quality customer experiences and operational efficiency.

“This partnership with Mavenir, adopting their AI-by-design approach and cloud-native expertise, will accelerate our delivery of cutting-edge technology,” said Güngör.

The partnership will leverage Mavenir’s cloud-native IMS architecture, which supports embedding AI directly into the mobile core.

This AI-by-design approach enables Turkcell to accelerate continuous innovation, ensure carrier-grade quality, and advance its transition toward AI-native communications, bringing new value to traditional capabilities. The companies plan to create innovative, flexible AI-based value-added services.

This move reflects a broader industry transition toward embedding intelligence directly into core network services rather than delivered through over-the-top applications.
