EPF Membership Grew To 18.1 Mln In 2025 - CEO Ahmad Zulqarnain

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 28 (Bernama) -- The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) membership grew to 18.1 million in 2025, supported by wider workforce participation, including non-Malaysian employees.

It said active members increased to 10.6 million, improving the active-to-inactive ratio to 59:41.

“EPF membership saw an unusual growth to 18.1 million (2024:16.2 million) driven by the well-documented change in the EPF contribution policy for migrant workers,” said chief executive Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn during the 2025 EPF dividend announcement today.

New registrations remained robust, with 2.8 million new members and 89,649 new employers, bringing the number of total active employers to 640,391.
