Boomi Unifies TRENDS’ IT Environment To Power AI-ready Operations
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 10 (Bernama) -- Boomi, a leader in artificial intelligence (AI)-driven automation, announced that TRENDS Promotional Products used the Boomi Enterprise Platform to unify more than 50 custom applications and legacy systems into a scalable, AI-ready digital foundation, enabling faster decision-making and improved customer responsiveness.
TRENDS, a leading wholesale promotional products supplier across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, manages more than 6,000 products and around 700 custom jobs each day. Rapid growth over the past decade had created a fragmented technology estate that limited operational visibility, slowed reporting and increased risk.
In a statement, Boomi Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific and Japan, David Irecki said the modernised integration foundation gives TRENDS a platform to support future growth, new products and advanced analytics while ensuring reliable, near real-time data across the business.
Meanwhile, TRENDS Chief Information Officer, Jonathan Elliott said the company replaced dozens of bespoke integrations with reusable and governed integration processes that reduce risk and make change faster and safer.
“We have grown fast, but the complexity behind the scenes grew faster. One of the biggest shifts has been moving away from one-off scripts to reusable, well-governed integration solutions,” he added.
Working with integration partner Adaptiv, TRENDS deployed the Boomi Enterprise Platform as its central integration layer, connecting line-of-business applications and Microsoft Azure services, and enabling near real-time data flows into analytics and reporting environments.
The new platform provides centralised monitoring and consistent error handling, giving the information technology (IT) team clearer visibility across systems and allowing issues to be identified earlier.
On the production floor, real-time machine data is now streamed into dashboards, helping supervisors monitor performance and detect quality or throughput issues.
Looking ahead, TRENDS plans to use the Boomi platform to integrate a new product information management system, support richer e-commerce experiences and underpin AI-driven use cases such as forecasting and intelligent scheduling.
