GDB Secures RM121.4 Mln Bina Muhibbah Permajaya Infrastructure Contracts

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 30 (Bernama) -- GDB Holdings Bhd has secured infrastructure contracts totalling RM121.4 million for two Bina Muhibbah Permajaya Construction Sdn Bhd projects.

In a statement today, the construction services company said the first contract, valued at RM54.4 million, involves road development works across the Simunjan and Samarahan districts. The 32-month contract commenced Jan 29, 2026 and is expected to end by Sept 28, 2028.

The second contract is a new single-carriageway, including earthworks, drainage and ground improvement, across Kuching and Samarahan divisions, valued at RM67 million.

The 17.5-month contract commenced Jan 28, 2026. It ends on July 12, 2027, the statement said.

The company said these latest contract wins will collectively bolster GDB’s outstanding order book to RM669 million and provide the group with earnings visibility through to late 2028.

GDB executive director/acting group managing director Andy Lai Wee Young said securing these contracts marks the group's first successful diversification into the East Malaysian market, a key milestone in its strategic expansion beyond Peninsular Malaysia.

“Moving forward, we intend to leverage the group’s proven track record of operational excellence and timely delivery to pursue more opportunities in the region,” he said.
