VentureTech Invests In Edtech Firm Tymba To Scale Digital Learning Platform, Expand Across ASEAN
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 28 (Bernama) -- Investment company VentureTech Sdn Bhd has invested in education technology (edtech) firm Tymba Education Group, which specialises in professional accountancy and finance qualifications.
In a joint statement today, the two companies said the investment is to support the scaling of Tymba’s digital learning platform and its regional expansion across ASEAN.
They said the investment will enhance Tymba’s proprietary learning management platform, TymbaFlex, strengthening operational capacity and accelerating regional market expansion.
“These initiatives will position the company to meet growing demand for globally recognised professional qualifications delivered through flexible, technology-enabled and accessible learning models,” they said.
The companies added that the investment will support the platform’s evolution into an Integrated Learning Experience (ILE), incorporating artificial intelligence (AI)-powered tutoring, advanced analytics and automated mastery-based progression.
“Delivered through a hybrid learning model that combines digital instruction with guided support, the platform enables learners to pursue internationally recognised qualifications while balancing professional commitments at a more accessible cost,” the statement said.
The companies also said the investment aligns with VentureTech’s mandate to nurture high-growth, high-value (HGHV) Bumiputera companies and supports national aspirations under the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035 (PuTERA35).
“By leveraging technology and hybrid learning, Tymba contributes to strengthening Malaysia’s human capital pipeline, widening access to professional education and expanding Bumiputera participation in professional and knowledge-based sectors,” they said.
VentureTech chief executive officer (CEO) Ahmad Redzuan Sidek said the investment is designed to scale access to high-quality professional education through technology and hybrid learning.
“By supporting TymbaFlex and the company’s regional growth, VentureTech aims to make globally recognised qualifications more affordable and accessible, support lifelong learning journeys, and strengthen Bumiputera representation in high-value professions,” he said.
Ahmad Redzuan added that beyond capital, VentureTech plays a developmental role by supporting companies that address structural gaps in the economy.
“In Tymba’s case, this includes widening access to professional education, strengthening human capital outcomes and enabling a scalable platform that benefits individuals, organisations and the broader ecosystem in line with national development priorities,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tymba CEO Mohd Airil Razali said VentureTech’s support validates the company’s mission to make high-quality professional education more accessible and future-ready.
“This partnership will accelerate our technology roadmap, support regional expansion and strengthen our ability to develop industry-relevant professionals,” he said.
The companies also said the collaboration complements Tymba’s ongoing engagement with strategic partners such as Yayasan Peneraju in supporting professional education pathways for Bumiputera learners.
“With a scalable digital platform, hybrid delivery model and expanding regional presence, Tymba is well-positioned to play a growing role in shaping the future of professional education in Malaysia and the wider ASEAN region,” they added.
