Infra, HUMAIN Seal US$1.2 Bln Saudi AI Infrastructure Deal

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- The National Infrastructure Fund (Infra) and HUMAIN announced a Strategic Financing Framework Agreement of up to US$1.2 billion to expand artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. (US$1=RM3.98)

The announcement was made on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.

“Today’s Framework Agreement is an important step in expanding Infra’s role of unlocking infrastructure investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

“Our partnership with HUMAIN will activate new pathways to grow institutional investment and develop the digital economy through enabling AI infrastructure,” said Infra Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Esmail Alsallom in a statement.

Meanwhile, HUMAIN CEO, Tareq Amin said demand growth for advanced compute is intensifying, and this Framework Agreement positions HUMAIN to respond with speed and scale.

The agreement outlines non-binding financing terms for HUMAIN's ambitious development of up to 250 megawatts (MW) of hyperscale AI data centre capacity. These facilities will deploy leading-edge graphics processing units (GPUs), supporting AI training and inference for HUMAIN’s local, regional, and global clientele.

In a related development, Infra and HUMAIN have agreed to explore establishing a joint AI data centre investment platform. This initiative, anchored by both organisations, is designed to facilitate participation from global and local institutional investors, further scaling HUMAIN’s AI strategy across the Kingdom.

The agreement underscores Infra’s critical role in accelerating the delivery of foundational infrastructure assets essential for economic transformation and long-term national productivity. It also highlights HUMAIN’s commitment to deploying scalable computing capacity to meet the intensifying commercial demand for advanced AI and data processing services.

The strategic partnership marks a significant stride in Saudi Arabia's push to become a global hub for AI and digital technology.
