KLCI Futures Open Lower In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures opened lower today, mirroring weakness in the underlying cash market.

At 9.40 am, the January 2026 contract slipped 0.5 point to 1,696.0, February 2026 fell 1.5 points to 1,700.0, March 2026 eased 1.0 point to 1,682.0, and June 2026 lost 7.0 points to 1,680.0.

Turnover totalled 1,598 lots, while open interest stood at 37,236 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI rose 3.15 points to 1,702.21 after 45 minutes of trading, following Tuesday’s close of 1,699.06.
