Kuchai Development To Exit Bursa Malaysia On Jan 22

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has approved the voluntary withdrawal of Kuchai Development Bhd (KDB) from the Main Market list with effect from Jan 22, 2026.

The property developer stated in a Bursa Malaysia filing that Bursa Securities had, via its letter dated Jan 19, 2026, informed them that, pursuant to Paragraph 16.06 of the listing requirements, the entire issued share capital of KDB would be removed from the official list of Bursa Securities. 

On Sept 23, 2025, the company proposed to undertake the delisting to withdraw KDB by submitting an application to Bursa Securities in accordance with Paragraph 16.08 of the listing requirements.

The move requires the support of at least 75 per cent of shareholders present and voting at the upcoming extraordinary general meeting, with no more than 10 per cent opposing.
