KLCI Futures Open Higher In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts were higher in early trade today, tracking the firmed underlying cash market.

At 9.50 am, spot months January 2026 and February 2026 rose 4.5 points each to 1,716.0 and 1,720.5, respectively, while March 2026 added 1.5 points to 1,699.0 and June 2026 gained 3.5 points to 1,703.0.

Turnover stood at 2,503 lots, with open interest at 38,168 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI trimmed 3.16 points to 1,712.44 after 60 minutes of trading, compared with Thursday’s close of 1,715.60.
