FBM KLCI Futures Open Higher In Early Trade

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 14 (Bernama) -- FBM KLCI futures opened higher in early trade on Wednesday despite losses in the underlying cash market.

At 9.35 am, the January 2026 contract rose 11.0 points to 1,716.0, February 2026 and March 2026 gained 9.0 points each to 1,718.5 and 1,700.0, respectively, while June 2026 gained 10.0 points to 1,702.0.

Turnover stood at 1,848 lots, while open interest totalled 36,698 contracts.

The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI climbed 1.70 points to 1,709.90 after 40 minutes of trading, compared with Tuesday’s close of 1,708.20.
