KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- The Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for cuplump and latex has been activated in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak for December 2025, according to the Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB).

The cuplump IPG rate in Peninsular Malaysia is five sen per kilogramme (kg) for 50 per cent dry rubber content (DRC) and 10 sen per kg for 100 per cent DRC, MRB said in a statement today.

The cuplump IPG rate in Sabah is 35 sen per kg for 50 per cent DRC and 70 sen per kg for 100 per cent DRC, while in Sarawak, the rates are 40 sen per kg for 50 per cent DRC and 80 sen per kg for 100 per cent DRC.

Meanwhile, the latex IPG rate for Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak is 90 sen per kg for 100 per cent DRC.

The IPG is activated if the average monthly farmgate price for cuplump rubber is RM3.00 per kg or below. The IPG for latex is activated when the cuplump IPG is activated.

In December 2025, the average farmgate prices for cuplump were: Peninsular Malaysia RM2.95 per kg; Sabah RM2.65 per kg and Sarawak RM2.60 per kg.

The IPG will be paid to all eligible Malaysian rubber smallholders. MRB said smallholders in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak are eligible to receive IPG payments from Jan 1 to Jan 31, 2026, based on rubber production in December 2025.
