KLCI Futures Open Mostly Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 2 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts were mostly lower in early trade today.

At 9.23 am, spot month January 2026 fell 6.0 points to 1,676.5, February 2026 lost 3.5 points to 1,679.0, and March 2026 eased 6.0 points to 1.662.0, while June 2026 was unchanged at 1,670.0.

Turnover stood at 1,192 lots, with open interest at 34,702 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI fell 11.33 points to 1,668.78 after 41 minutes of trading compared to Wednesday’s close of 1,680.11.

Bursa Malaysia Bhd and its subsidiaries were closed yesterday in conjunction with the 2026 New Year’s Day holiday.
