KPF Processes Share Capital Withdrawal Applications Totalling RM909.85 Mln From 2020-2025
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- Koperasi Permodalan Felda Malaysia Bhd (KPF) has processed applications for the withdrawal of share capital amounting to RM909.85 million from 2020 to 2025, with full payments totalling RM543.6 million made for the years 2020 to 2023.
It said that from 2020 to 2024, KPF also paid dividends totaling RM659.7 million, bringing the overall benefits to members to RM1.20 billion, thereby reflecting KPF’s continued commitment to the welfare of its members.
“KPF acknowledges that there are still withdrawal applications for the years 2024 and 2025 that are awaiting payment. These payments are implemented in stages on a rotational basis in line with current cash flow, while at the same time prioritising payments for special needs in urgent and critical cases, subject to approval and the submission of complete supporting documents,” it said in a statement today.
KPF said it aims to continue these staggered, rotational payments based on its current cash flow position.
Therefore, KPF expressed hope that all members will continue to be patient and understanding of the cooperative’s cash flow situation, including the fact that converting investment assets into liquid funds requires a certain amount of time.
KPF stated that, despite facing cash flow constraints, the company’s financial performance for 2025 is projected to improve, driven by strong profits from the plantation sector, corporate investments, property, ar-rahnu services, and financing.
“KPF reaffirmed its commitment to addressing members’ applications for the withdrawal of share capital; however, implementing payments on a rotational basis is necessary to ensure the sustainability of the cooperative. This is also an action by the board and management to protect the interests of the majority, more than 83 percent of members, who remain loyal and continue to expect good and reasonable annual dividend returns,” it said.
