Southern Score Subsidiary Wins RM87.8 Mln data Centre Sub-contract

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- Southern Score Builders Bhd announced that its 51 per cent-owned subsidiary, SJEE Engineering Sdn Bhd, today accepted a letter of award (LoA) from a local construction company to undertake sub-contract works for a data centre project worth RM87.8 million.

The company said in a Bursa Malaysia filing today that the sub-contract works were related to supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the electrical and extra-low voltage system.

“The board is of the opinion that the project is in the ordinary course of business and is in the best interest of the group,” it said.

Southern Score Builders said the acceptance of the LoA by SJEE Engineering to undertake the project will not have any effect on the share capital and shareholding structure of the company and there will not be any immediate effect on the net assets per share and gearing of the company.

“However, the project is expected to contribute positively to the net assets and earnings per share of the company and its group of companies for the financial year ending June 30, 2026 onwards until the completion of the project,” it added.

The commencement date of the project was on Dec 3, 2025 and the expected completion date shall be on Dec 7, 2026.
