AirBorneo To Launch Website, Call Centre Tomorrow

KUCHING, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- Sarawak state-owned airline AirBorneo will launch its official website and call centre tomorrow, marking the start of ticket sales for flights following its takeover of MASwings at the end of December this year.

AirBorneo said in a statement today that the launch on Dec 10 represents a key milestone in its operational transition, ahead of the full assumption of services from MASwings.

Under the transition arrangement, travellers purchasing new tickets for travel on or before Jan 13, 2026 are advised to continue buying tickets via the existing MASwings website, while tickets for travel on or after Jan 14, 2026 must be purchased through AirBorneo’s official website or its call centre.

AirBorneo said customers may contact its call centre at 1-300-22-1388 for local callers or (+60) 82-537 555 for international callers for bookings or to seek assistance.

All existing MASwings tickets and bookings will remain valid with no changes to flight dates and times, it said, adding that passengers holding MASwings tickets for travel on or after Jan 14, 2026 will receive individual notifications on the reissuance of their tickets under AirBorneo.

For further information, the public is advised to visit AirBorneo’s official website at www.airborneo.com beginning tomorrow and refer to the general frequently asked questions (FAQs), or contact the customer service team through the provided hotline numbers.

On Feb 12, 2025, the Sarawak government entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Malaysia Aviation Group to formalise the acquisition of MASwings Sdn Bhd, paving the way for the establishment of AirBorneo as the state’s airline.
