Acronis Partners Synology To Enhance Full-System Backup, Data Security

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 9 (Bernama) -- Acronis, a global leader in cybersecurity and data protection, has partnered with Synology to enhance customer data security, enabling users to perform full-system computer backups while maintaining complete ownership of their data.

According to a statement, under the collaboration, all Synology BeeDrive, BeeStation, and BeeStation Plus product lines now include a three-year licence to Acronis True Image Essentials for one computer.

“By combining our leading consumer backup and cybersecurity technology with Synology’s intuitive and intelligent storage solutions, we are giving users a seamless, reliable, and secure way to protect the data that matters most,” said Acronis True Image Lead Product Manager, Gabriela Licheva.

Meanwhile, Synology Director of Digital Life Group, Sabrina Chen added that the partnership extends the simplicity of data protection to full-system backup, allowing users to safeguard files, operating systems, applications, and settings with just a few clicks.

Acronis True Image offers more than traditional backup, providing artificial intelligence (AI)-based threat detection against ransomware, malware, and other cyberattacks, along with fast recovery and secure disc cloning in a simple, intuitive setup. The company plans additional security enhancements in future releases to stay ahead of emerging cyberthreats.

Synology’s BeeDrive and BeeStation combine proven storage technology with AI-driven file management. BeeDrive serves as a high-speed personal backup hub for computers and mobile devices, while BeeStation functions as a personal cloud server, enabling seamless file access, collaboration, and AI-assisted photo organisation for households and small teams.
