123RF Launches AI-powered Video Search Capability On AWS

By Siti Noor Afera Abu

LAS VEGAS, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Malaysian-based stock media platform 123RF today unveiled a generative artificial intelligence (AI) video comprehension feature on Amazon Web Services (AWS), designed to enhance video search for users worldwide.

Early testing on a sample of five million videos showed the feature doubled the accuracy of video descriptors and improved search relevance, enabling the system to autonomously interpret the content of both videos and images using Amazon Nova.

“This implementation particularly benefits 123RF’s e-commerce customers, who need to quickly find appropriate videos or images to pair with products, directly impacting how many products they can list each day,” the company said in a statement released in conjunction with AWS re:Invent 2025, here.

The platform processes over three million image uploads each month, with each asset undergoing thorough compliance, copyright, and quality verification.

123RF has transformed its operations and customer experience, reducing content review time by 92 per cent while allowing customers to find the perfect creative assets in 90 per cent less time, with significantly improved accuracy.

To support rapid growth and global expansion, the platform leverages Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Nova, which work in tandem to scale operations efficiently.

123RF chief technology officer Phoebe Liew said the AWS-powered AI technology now interprets images as humans do.

“This helps our customers find exactly what they are looking for faster, eliminates duplicate content, and identifies potential copyright issues with remarkable accuracy, all because the AI understands the image itself, not just the words describing it,” she added.
