EPIC Group Scores At HRD Awards 2025, Platinum Recognition At IMPEC 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- Eastern Pacific Industrial Corporation Bhd (EPIC Bhd) celebrated another remarkable achievement last night, securing three accolades at the HRD Awards 2025 Gala Dinner in recognition of its progressive human capital development initiatives.

This follows its Platinum Award win at the International Malaysia Project Excellence Conference (IMPEC) 2025.

In a statement today, the company said EPIC made history as the first company from the East Coast to receive the Human Resources Minister Award, the highest recognition in the mid-large employer category.

“The accolade represents a strong endorsement of the group’s transformation journey and its strategic focus on developing a resilient, capable, and future-ready workforce.

“In addition to the coveted award EPIC received, its subsidiary, Sukma Samudra Sdn Bhd (SSSB), clinched a silver for the HRD Corp Award in the East Coast Region SME category,” it highlighted.

EPIC Bhd said the recognition highlights SSSB’s dedication to structured workforce development and employee capability building.

Through targeted training programmes and skills development initiatives, the company has strengthened its workforce, ensuring employees are equipped to meet operational demands and contribute to the group’s continued growth.

The company noted that these acknowledgements at the HRD Awards 2025 build upon EPIC Bhd’s continued success on national platforms.

“Recently, the group’s subsidiary, EPIC OG Sdn Bhd, earned the Platinum Award, the highest distinction, in the talent development and capability building category at the International Malaysia Project Excellence Conference (IMPEC) 2025, hosted by Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas),” it said.

Commenting on the achievement, EPIC Bhd group chief executive officer Muhtar Suhaili said human capital is central to EPIC Bhd’s strategic growth.

He said these recognitions reflect the company’s continuous investment in people, equipping them with the skills and exposure required to thrive in a rapidly changing industry landscape.

“We remain committed to building strong competencies and shaping a high-performance culture that supports Malaysia’s long-term energy aspirations,” he added.
