Proton’s EV Contribution To LPNS Boosts Green Tourism Efforts - Aminuddin

NILAI, Nov 13 (Bernama) -- The contribution of a Proton e.MAS 7 electric vehicle (EV) to the Negeri Sembilan Tourism Board (LPNS) by the national car maker reinforces the state’s image as a green and sustainable tourism destination ahead of Visit Negeri Sembilan Year 2026 (TMNS2026).

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the contribution is significant and timely, as the state government intensifies preparations and promotional efforts for TMNS 2026.

“The vehicle will be used for tourism promotion, daily operational tasks, and official movements of the LPNS team throughout the TMNS 2026 campaign.

“It will also help promote the e.MAS vehicle itself,” he said in his speech read by State Secretary Datuk Mohd Zafir Ibrahim at the launch of Proton e.MAS Nilai and handover of the EV to LPNS here today.

Aminuddin also said that the opening of Proton e.MAS Nilai marks an important step in strengthening the EV industry ecosystem in Negeri Sembilan, in line with the state’s Green Action Plan.

“We are now in an era of global automotive transformation, with electric vehicles and smart technologies shaping the future of mobility.

“The launch of Proton e.MAS Nilai aligns with the state government’s aspiration to expand green technology usage, develop skilled EV talent, and provide modern mobility infrastructure,” he said.
