SC Seeks Feedback On Proposals Under The Market Segmentation Review

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 12 (Bernama) -- The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) has published a consultation paper, inviting feedback on various proposals to enhance value propositions of the public market.

In a statement today, it said the consultation paper on the Main and ACE Market listings seeks feedback on three areas, including enhancing the routes for listing on the Main Market under the profit test and infrastructure project corporation (IPC) test.

Secondly, it is seeking feedback on providing flexibility on the need for positive operating cash flow for listings on the Main Market.

It is also gathering opinions on strengthening the role of the ACE Market as a stepping stone for small- and mid-sized corporations by aligning the listing requirements with the ACE Market’s sponsor-driven framework.

“The SC welcomes responses from a wide range of stakeholders to ensure a constructive consultation process. The reforms to Main Market and ACE Market listings are targeted to be implemented in the first half of 2026,” it said.

The public consultation period is from Nov 12, 2025 to Dec 31, 2025. For any enquiries, contact equitiesfeedback@seccom.com.my
