Meltwater Appoints Tres Thompson As CFO To Drive Global Growth

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 11 (Bernama) -- Meltwater, a global provider of media, social and consumer intelligence, has appointed Tres Thompson as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

With more than 35 years of experience in accounting, finance and operational leadership, Thompson brings extensive expertise from both privately held and publicly traded technology companies.

Meltwater Chief Executive Officer, John Box said Thompson’s extensive financial and operational expertise will be instrumental as the company continues to pursue sustainable global growth.

“His proven track record with high-growth, global SaaS organisations makes him a valuable addition to our leadership team,” he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Thompson said: “I am excited to join Meltwater at such a dynamic moment in the company’s growth journey. The products, people and history of profitable growth create tremendous opportunities to scale and drive operational excellence.”

In his new role, Thompson will lead Meltwater’s global central operations and finance divisions, overseeing financial strategy, operations and investor relations as the company strengthens its position in artificial intelligence (AI)-powered media and social intelligence.

Before joining Meltwater, he served as CFO of HighRadius, a global software as a service (SaaS) company offering AI solutions for the office of the CFO. He previously held senior roles at Velsera, a health technology company, and Symplr, a SaaS platform serving the healthcare industry, where he also served as Chief Operating Officer.

Thompson has a strong background in leading high-growth, private equity-backed firms to successful exits, in addition to experience in mergers, acquisitions and business integration.
