CelcomDigi, Terengganu Inc Sign MoU To Drive Digitalisation

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- CelcomDigi Bhd has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd to drive digitalisation and artificial intelligence (AI) adoption across the group.

In a statement today, the mobile network operator said the initiative follows a series of workshops conducted between both organisations to identify key opportunities and priorities in advancing Terengganu’s digital transformation.

“Under this partnership, Terengganu Inc will leverage CelcomDigi’s digital and AI expertise to accelerate its transformation journey.

“Following a comprehensive digital capability assessment across 13 of the organisation’s subsidiaries, CelcomDigi will co-develop a targeted AI strategic framework to address and strengthen key areas in connectivity, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, Internet of Things (IoT), and data readiness,” it said.

The framework will serve as a strategic blueprint to modernise operations, boost efficiencies, and future-proof the group’s capabilities, aligning with Terengganu state’s vision for a resilient, tech-driven economy.

It noted that this partnership builds on CelcomDigi’s ongoing efforts with Terengganu Inc to identify opportunities that strengthen the state’s key industries and promote economic growth.

“By digitalising core sectors, both organisations aim to unlock new efficiencies, empower local enterprises, and enhance public services — driving sustainable, technology-enabled progress that supports Terengganu’s long-term resilience and competitiveness in line with Malaysia’s digital ambitions,” it added.
