US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer To Travel To Malaysia, Japan and South Korea

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 24 (Bernama) -- The US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer will travel to Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea, alongside President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent.

While in Malaysia, Greer will meet with his counterpart from China to discuss trade between the United States and China.

“Greer will also participate in the 47th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit in Kuala Lumpur,” the US Trade Representative Press Office said in a statement.

In Japan, Greer will participate in US President Trump’s state visit to Tokyo, while in South Korea, he will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) South Korea 2025 Forum in Gyeongju.

The 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits are scheduled to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Oct 26 to 28.

More than 30 heads of state and government will gather to discuss regional peace, economic resilience and inclusive growth under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 theme of “Inclusivity and Sustainability”.
