Binastra Secures RM305 Mln Solar PV, BESS Project In Johor
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 (Bernama) -- Binastra Corporation Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Binastra Green Energy Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM305 million contract from Bahru Stainless Sdn Bhd to develop infrastructure for a 65-megawatt-peak (MWp) solar photovoltaic (PV) energy system and a 200-megawatt hour (MWh) battery energy storage system (BESS) in Pasir Gudang, Johor.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Binastra said the project is expected to be completed within nine months from the commencement date, which will be notified by Bahru Stainless.
“The contract is expected to provide an additional income stream for the group over the next two financial years and is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of the group for the financial years ending Jan 31, 2026 and 2027,” it added.
