Tower B Fully Sold, Tower A Selling Fast As COVO Topping Out Marks 68 Pct Progress

PUTRAJAYA, Sept 23 (Bernama) -- IOI Properties Group Bhd’s (IOIPG) COVO development in 16 Sierra has achieved a major milestone with Tower B fully sold and Tower A selling rapidly.

The construction progress has already reached 68 per cent and is ahead of schedule, keeping the project on track for completion by May 2027, said group chief operating officer Teh Chin Guan.

IOIPG recently celebrated the topping out of COVO, its first transit-oriented development in the 216.51-hectare 16 Sierra township in Puchong South. The ceremony, which was held on Sept 19, marked the completion of the building’s highest point.

Teh said the milestone reflected IOIPG’s commitment to timely delivery while catering to strong demand, with the project already achieving a 65 per cent overall take-up rate.

Launched in May 2024, COVO comprises 601 service apartment units across a 38-storey Tower A and a low-rise Tower B. Unit sizes range from 550 to 1,130 square feet, offering flexible layouts of 1+1, three and four bedrooms designed for professionals, newlyweds, and growing families. Selected units feature direct car park access, giving them the feel of landed homes.

The development boasts seamless connectivity with direct covered walkway access to the 16 Sierra MRT station, just 100 metres away, offering travel times of under 40 minutes to the Kuala Lumpur city centre and KLIA. It is also IOIPG’s first GreenRE-certified high-rise project, equipped with electric vehicle charging bays to encourage green mobility.

COVO was further recognised for its workplace safety and health performance, recording a 97.11 per cent score under the Construction Industry Development Board’s (CIDB) Safety and Health Assessment System in Construction (SHASSIC).

As part of the well-planned 16 Sierra township, residents will enjoy access to lifestyle and recreational amenities such as a 7.2-acre central park, Amigo Clubhouse, Amigo Social Club, and a network of walkable and bikeable park connectors.16 Sierra is accessible via major highways, including SKVE, MEX and LDP, placing it within easy reach of Putrajaya, Puchong and Kuala Lumpur.
