Gamuda's YTD Net Profit Rises To RM1 Bln; Posts Record-Breaking Orderbook Of RM38 Bln

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 (Bernama) -- Gamuda Bhd’s year-to-date net profit has increased by 10 per cent to reach the RM1 billion mark for its financial year ended July 1, 2025 (FY2025).

The regional engineering and property group also saw its revenue increase by 11 per cent to a record-breaking RM16.4 billion.

Gamuda said the milestone was a result of its strong domestic construction projects, with an all-time-high construction orderbook balance of RM38 billion after recording job wins totalling RM25 billion in FY2025.

"This unprecedented orderbook balance provides strong revenue visibility and positions the group for sustained growth over the coming years," it said in a statement today.

Gamuda said domestic construction projects comprise 50 per cent of its order book, with data centres contributing 10 per cent of the total value, reflecting the group's focus on diversified infrastructure developments as overall construction margins improved.

Meanwhile, its property arm, Gamuda Land reported sales of RM4.1 billion, a 19.0 per cent decline due to Hanoi project approvals near the end of this financial year, with the related sales expected to be carried forward to FY2026.

In the fourth quarter ended July 31, 2025 (4Q FY2025), the group’s net profit rose by 22.0 per cent to RM332 million from RM272.0 million in 4Q FY2024, as its domestic construction earnings doubled and overseas property earnings jumped 68.0 per cent.

Looking ahead, the group anticipates its earnings performance for FY2026 to be driven by newly awarded domestic construction projects and higher contributions from various property quick turnaround projects (QTPs), especially Vietnam’s Eaton Park project.

"The group’s resilience is also underpinned by its record-high unbilled property sales of RM8 billion,” it added.
