ICHAM Unveils Asia’s First Open-Ended Autocall Fund For Accredited Investors

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 (Bernama) -- ICH Asset Management (ICHAM), a regional multi-family office and asset manager, has launched the ICHAM Defined Growth Fund, billed as Asia’s first open-ended fund dedicated to autocall structured products.

The fund is available exclusively to accredited and institutional investors and aims to deliver annualised capital growth of about nine to 10 per cent in US dollars, with lower volatility and market beta compared to global equities.

Structured as a Singapore Variable Capital Company (VCC) subfund, the product combines the return potential and downside risk management of autocall investments with ongoing oversight, transparent fees and monthly liquidity.

According to ICHAM in a statement, the fund, which reinvests coupons and proceeds from autocalled/matured investments, is offered in US dollar and Singapore dollar-hedged share classes.

ICHAM chief executive officer, Archan Chamapun said the fund addresses a market gap by offering investors a professionally managed portfolio of autocall structured products, which were previously marketed by private banks on a piecemeal basis with concentrated risks and opaque fees.

Meanwhile, its lead portfolio manager of the Defined Growth Fund, Felix Chew said the fund takes an institutional approach by creating a diversified ladder of index-linked structured notes, spreading out observation levels and dates to reduce risks while aiming for more consistent long-term returns.

The fund’s framework combines top-down regional allocation with bottom-up structuring of autocalls to preserve capital and enhance safety against downturns. It invests in competitively priced autocalls as an institutional buyer while maintaining balanced exposure to investment-grade-rated bank counterparties.

Unlike traditional offerings, the fund adopts a transparent cost structure by charging a single ongoing management fee and does not earn upfront fees on autocall transactions. This design reduces complexity and improves transparency for end investors.

Subscriptions to the ICHAM Defined Growth Fund are available through ADDX, a licensed digital platform regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore that specialises in private markets and alternative investments.
