FBM KLCI Futures End Lower In Tandem With Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly lower today, tracking the underlying cash market’s performance.

At the close, the spot-month August 2025 contract edged up half-a-point to 1,588.5, September 2025 slid 1.0 point to 1,562.0, December 2025 slipped half-a-point to 1,557.5, and March 2026 shaved 2.5 points to 1,539.0.

Turnover fell to 19,413 lots from 81,488 lots on Wednesday, while open interest contracted to 71,788 contracts from 133,389 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI edged down 0.84-of-a-point, or 0.05 per cent, to settle at 1,587.07, from Wednesday’s close of 1,587.91.
