FBM KLCI Futures Open Higher, Spot Month Outpaces Benchmark

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 25 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened higher on Monday.

At 9.36 am, the spot month August 2025 contract rose 11 points to 1,615.0, September 2025 gained 10 points to 1,592.5, December 2025 added 10.5 points to 1,593.0, and March 2026 advanced 15 points to 1,579.5.

Turnover was 2,501 lots, with open interest at 41,887 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI climbed 8.10 points to 1,605.57 after 40 minutes of trading, from last week’s close of 1,597.47.
