Property Professionals A Key Pillar Of Malaysia’s Economy – Lim Hui Ying

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 22 (Bernama) -- The profession of valuation, estate agency and property management is an important professional services sector and serves as one of the main pillars of the country’s economic growth, said Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying.

She said professionals in this field help boost consumer confidence in making decisions related to real estate.

“Registered valuers and real estate agents play an important role in guiding and educating consumers, especially buyers, to obtain accurate information on the property market.

“This enables buyers to make informed decisions in owning their dream home or property,” she said during her speech at the 27th Convocation and Annual Dinner of the Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEP) here, tonight.

Lim also said the government is confident that BOVAEP will continue to produce highly skilled and competent members, thereby contributing to the nation’s development.

“It is clear that BOVAEP plays a vital role in preparing its members to become professionals who are able to contribute to the country’s economic growth.

“The government will continue to support every service and programme implemented by BOVAEP,” she said.

The event celebrated 29 registered valuers, 46 registered estate agents, 79 graduates of the diploma in estate agency, and four recipients of the outstanding student award.
