FBM KLCI Futures End Mostly Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 20 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended mostly lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, spot-month August 2025 perked up 0.5 of-a-point to 1,593.5, September 2025 eased 0.5 of-a-point to 1,572.0, December 2025 was 3.0 points lower at 1,568.0, and March 2026 slipped 1.0 points to 1,553.50.

Turnover rose to 5,839 lots from Tuesday’s 5,598 lots, while open interest increased to 44,596 contracts from 43,803 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI slipped 2.03 points, or 0.13 per cent, to close at 1,588.21 from Tuesday’s close of 1,590.24.
