FBM KLCI Futures End Higher, Tracks Gains In Cash Market

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 7 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher on Thursday, tracking gains from the underlying cash market.

At the close, the spot month of August 2025 gained eight points to 1,551.0, September 2025 rose 6.5 points to 1,530.50, December 2025 increased six points to 1,530.50, and March 2026 climbed 9.5 points to 1,516.50.

Turnover increased to 5,477 lots from 5,351 on Wednesday, while open interest inched up to 42,927 contracts from 42,730 previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 7.63 points or 0.50 per cent to close at 1,549.11 from Wednesday’s close of 1,541.48.
