FBM KLCI Futures Open Lower, Track Cash Market Decline

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 6 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly lower on Wednesday, tracking losses in the underlying cash market.

As at 9.22 am, spot month August 2025 fell 5.5 points to 1,534.0, September 2025 declined 4.5 points to 1,514.50, and December 2025 slipped 3.5 points to 1,515.50. March 2026 was unchanged at 1,507.0.

Turnover stood at 923 lots, with open interest at 38,913 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI dipped 3.83 points to 1,534.81 after 42 minutes of trading, compared with Tuesday’s close of 1,538.64.
