KLCI Futures Open Mostly Higher, Tracking Cash Market Gains

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives opened mostly higher on Friday, mirroring gains in the underlying cash market.

At 9.23 am, spot month August 2025 and September 2025 each rose 8.5 points to 1,526.50 and 1,507.00 respectively, while December 2025 added 6.0 points to 1,506.50. However, the newly introduced March 2026 contract fell 12.5 points to 1,488.00.

Turnover stood at 1,705 lots, with open interest totalling 38,205 contracts.

The benchmark FBM KLCI rose 14.37 points to 1,527.62 after 44 minutes of trading, compared with Thursday’s close of 1,513.25.
