FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Tuesday, tracking losses in the underlying cash market.

At the close, the July 2025 contract fell 4.0 points to 1,528.0, August 2025 declined 4.5 points to 1,524.0, September 2025 dropped 3.5 points to 1,506.0, and December 2025 slipped 5.0 points to 1,505.50.

Turnover surged to 76,300 lots from 47,497 on Monday, while open interest rose to 120,115 contracts from 86,419 previously.

At 5 pm, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) fell 5.56 points, or 0.36 per cent, to close at 1,523.82 from Monday’s close of 1,529.38.
