FBM KLCI Futures End Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, July 25 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed lower on Friday in tandem with the weaker underlying cash market performance.

At the close, the July 2025 and August 2025 contracts erased 5.5 points each to 1,531.5 and 1,528.5, respectively, the September 2025 contract fell 6.0 points to 1,509.5, and the December 2025 contract shed 4.5 points to 1,511.5.

Turnover surged to 12,877 lots from 4,013 yesterday, while open interest grew to 48,755 contracts from 39,381 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI trimmed 6.56 points, or 0.43 per cent, to close at 1,533.76 from yesterday’s close of 1,540.32.
