NIKE Nominates Former LEGO CEO Jørgen Vig Knudstorp To Board Of Directors 

KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 (Bernama) -- NIKE Inc has announced the nomination of Jørgen Vig Knudstorp, former LEGO Group President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), to its Board of Directors.

The nomination will be presented at its 2025 annual meeting of shareholders, scheduled for Sept 9, according to the company in a statement. 

NIKE Executive Chairman, Mark Parker said Knudstorp brings valuable expertise in global branding, digital marketing, consumer products, and organisational culture.

“Jørgen’s experience and leadership will make him an excellent addition to our board. We look forward to working with him as we enter a new phase of growth through innovation and brand storytelling,” said Parker.

Knudstorp served as CEO of LEGO from 2004 to 2016 and later as Executive Chair of LEGO Brand Group from 2017 to 2023. He currently holds the position of Deputy Chair of the LEGO Foundation.

Prior to his tenure at LEGO, Knudstorp was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company. He holds a master’s degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in economics and business management from Aarhus University.

Knudstorp also serves as lead independent director of Starbucks Corporation and Partner and Executive Advisor at Innovation Endeavors.
