Sunway REIT CEO Resigns To Take Up CFO Role At Sunway Bhd

KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 (Bernama) -- Sunway Real Estate Investment Trust (Sunway REIT) announced the resignation of its chief executive officer (CEO), Clement Chen Kok Peng. 

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company stated that the resignation is effective as of June 16, which will then see Chen's appointment as the chief financial officer (CFO) of Sunway Bhd on the same date. 

Sunway REIT said Chen, a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, began his career with Sunway Group as a finance trainee in 2004 and played a key role in the listing of Sunway Bhd, Sunway REIT and Sunway Construction Group Bhd.

Chen was appointed CEO of Sunway REIT Management Sdn Bhd, the manager of Sunway REIT, on July 1, 2023.
