FBM KLCI Futures End Marginally Higher
KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended marginally higher, despite the weaker underlying cash market performance.
At the close, the spot month June 2025 contract was 2.5 points better at 1,498.50, the new month July 2025 was at 1,496.50, September 2025 added 0.5 of a point to 1,479.50, and the December 2025 note gained one point to 1,484.50.
Turnover reduced to 7,931 lots from 17,268 lots last Friday, while open interest fell to 38,949 contracts compared to 50,960 contracts previously.
At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI eased 5.10 points, 0.33 per cent, to 1,503.25 from Friday’s close of 1,508.35.
Bursa Malaysia was closed on Monday in conjunction with the official birthday of His Majesty, Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.
