Pestec Bags RM270 Mln Klang Valley Rail Job 

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama)-- Pestec International Bhd’s (Pestec) unit, Pestech Technology Sdn Bhd has secured a RM270.4 million contract from Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Bhd (DMIA) for works on Phase 2 of the Klang Valley electric double-track railway project.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the contract relates to the provision of design, construction, completion, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the works for the project, and warranty for defects liability for 24 months after the issuance of the Certificate of Practical Completion for the project.

DMIA is the holding company and major shareholder of Pestec, holding 57.52 per cent of the issued shares of the company. 

"The contract will commence May 28 and shall be completed by Jan 16, 2029," it said. 

Pestec added that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share for the financial years ending 2026 to 2029, and boost its order book.
