FBM KLCI Futures Close Lower

KUALA LUMPUR, May 19 (Bernama) -- The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower today, tracking the performance of the underlying cash market.

At the close, May 2025 and September 2025 declined 14.0 points each to 1,553.0 and 1,537.5, respectively, while June 2025 shed 15.0 points to 1,552.5, and December 2025 declined 14.5 points to 1,545.5.

Turnover reduced to 5,451 lots from 5,912 lots on Friday, while open interest was slightly higher at 39,659 contracts from 39,634 contracts previously.

At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI fell 15.61 points, or 0.99 per cent, to 1,556.14  from Friday’s close of 1,571.75.
