Megah Port Management Spreads Festive Cheer At Aidilfitri Open House

LABUAN, April 12 (Bernama) -- Labuan container port operator, Megah Port Management Sdn Bhd (MPM), hosted its annual Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house at the Labuan Liberty Port, bringing together over 1,000 guests from various economic sectors and backgrounds.

This marks MPM's second Aidilfitri celebration since assuming management of the port. The event saw the gathering of port users, leaders from business chambers, government agencies, and the local community.

A heartwarming highlight of the celebration was the special attention extended to underprivileged students from Kompleks Anak Yatim Darul Kifayah, who were treated to festive meals and gifted with duit raya as part of the company's commitment to giving back to society.

MPM managing director Datuk Seri Patrick Tiong underscored the company’s dedication to community engagement, saying, “MPM’s open house is more than a festive gathering; it's an opportunity to foster goodwill across all levels of society, and to lend support to those in need.”

He also noted that since taking over the port operations, MPM has implemented significant upgrades to improve efficiency and strengthen the port’s role as a key logistics hub in the region.

“These improvements have not only spurred economic activity but also reinforced MPM's commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen,” he said.

The Aidilfitri open house stands as a testament to MPM’s ongoing efforts to foster unity and inclusivity—reflecting the true spirit of the festive season.
