LGMS Signs MoU With Antarex

KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- In an effort to expand its coverage, LGMS Bhd, a Bursa Malaysia-listed company specialising in cybersecurity, will collaborate in strategic regional cybersecurity initiatives with Antarex Holdings Sdn Bhd (AHSB) and its major shareholders after signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) here today.

The MoU outlines LGMS’s potential equity participation in AHSB, contingent upon the materialisation of mutually beneficial synergies, the company said in a statement to the local bourse.

If materialised, the strategic investment by LGMS is expected to strengthen strategic collaboration between both companies, LGMS said.

LGMS chairman Fong Choong Fook described the strategic collaboration as “highly synergistic”, while Antarex chief executive officer Tan Pek Loon said the collaboration with LGMS would significantly boost the capabilities of Antarex’s innovative advanced cyber defence platforms.

LGMS’s cybersecurity offerings have the potential to penetrate high-growth markets, including Brunei, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, Fong said.

“As cyber threats evolve rapidly, the synergy between LGMS’s StarSentry platform and Antarex’s suite of advanced cyber defence platforms will position both companies at the forefront of regional cybersecurity defence,” he added.
