Malakoff Secures Second Phase Of Solar Energy Contract From Northport

KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 (Bernama) -- Malakoff Radiance Sdn Bhd, the solar arm of Malakoff Corp Bhd, has secured the second phase of its solar energy contract from Northport (Malaysia) Bhd.

In a statement today, Malakoff said the partnership was formalised with the signing of a solar power purchase agreement on Feb 10, 2025.

“Under this agreement, the rooftop solar project at the CT2 building in Port Klang will have a total capacity of 2,025.81 kilowatt-peak (kWp).

“Upon completion, this project will increase Northport’s total solar energy capacity to 4.4 megawatt-peak (MWp), further reinforcing its commitment to sustainable and green operations,” Malakoff said.

The company noted that this second phase builds on the successful completion of a 2.4 MWp rooftop solar photovoltaic system in December 2022.

Malakoff managing director and group chief executive officer Anwar Syahrin Abdul Ajib said that this collaboration demonstrates Malakoff Radiance and Northport’s commitment to delivering efficient and sustainable energy solutions while contributing to Malaysia’s renewable energy transition.

“By partnering with key industry stakeholders such as Northport, Malakoff Radiance continues to play a vital role in driving the nation’s shift towards cleaner, more sustainable energy sources,” he said.
