MATRADE To Unveil MADANI Digital Trade, A Platform To Connect Malaysian Businesses To Global Markets

KUALA LUMPUR, March 10 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) is set to launch MADANI Digital Trade (MDT), an integrated virtual showcase, on March 13, 2025, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), here.

MDT is a first-of-its-kind virtual showcase that seamlessly integrates business matching, an e-marketplace, market intelligence, and trade-related business solutions.

The platform aims to revolutionise the way Malaysian exporters and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) connect with international markets, equipping them with tools and insights needed to thrive in the global marketplace.

MATRADE said the grand launch, in partnership with Nazsoft Tech Sdn Bhd, will be officiated by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.

MATRADE chairman Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican said the MDT represents a pivotal moment in Malaysia’s trade ecosystem, offeering businesses with unprecedented access to global buyers and empowering them to grow, scale and succeed in an increasingly competitive digital economy.

Meanwhile, in a statement, its chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz said MDT is more than just a platform and is a catalyst for change.

"By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we are enabling Malaysian businesses to adapt to the demands of the global market.

"This initiative reflects MATRADE’s commitment to fostering digital trade and equipping our businesses with the right tools to excel internationally," he said.

MDT will also feature a dialogue session titled "Navigating Global Uncertainties: Resilient Trade Strategies for Malaysian Businesses in 2025", to discuss current evolving business landscape and offering insights on expanding Malaysian exports through digital transformation and more.
