PERNAS International Franchise Festival Chalks Up RM21.3 Mln Sales

KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 (Bernama) -- Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (PERNAS) recorded RM21.3 million in sales transactions at the PERNAS International Franchise Festival (PIFF) 2025 which was held from Feb 7 to 9 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick said the achievement exceeded the set target of RM12 million.

The organisation of the event not only promotes the franchise entrepreneurship ecosystem, especially in the coffee and cafe sector, but also helps the country's economic growth, he said in a statement today.

PIFF 2025 saw the participation of 83 brands from 10 countries namely Malaysia, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, the United States, Japan, Germany and Thailand, and managed to attract more than 16,000 visitors. 

Themed "Brew Your Success, Empowering Entrepreneurs", the festival focuses on the coffee, tea and cafe industries and offers a variety of interestting activities such as product exhibitions, international forums and "Latte Art" competitions.

PIFF 2025 also saw the launch of the National Franchise Policy 2030 as well as the exchange of several memorandums of understanding (MoU) between PERNAS with SME Corp, Prasarana Integrated Development Sdn Bhd (PRIDE), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and TERAJU.
