Binastra Bags RM250.37 Mln Data Centre Construction Project

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 12 (Bernama) -- Binastra Corp Bhd’s (Binastra) wholly-owned subsidiary Binastra Builders Sdn Bhd has bagged a RM250.37 million data centre construction project in Cyberjaya, Selangor from MYT DC3 Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Binastra said the contract would commence on Feb 26, 2025, and shall be completed in sections between June 15, 2025 and Dec 15, 2025.

It said the contract is expected to provide an additional income stream for the group during the financial year.

Meanwhile, in separate statement, Binastra Corp said the construction of six-storey data centre for AIMS Group represents its first accomplishment for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2026 (FY2026).

AIMS Group is an ecosystem-centric, carrier-neutral data centre provider in Southeast Asia.

Binastra Group managing director Datuk Jackson Tan Kak Seng the new data centre project brings the group’s total secured data centre contracts value to RM1.24 billion.

“Notably, our projects remain solid amid the recent discussions on the impact of artificial intelligence chip availability on local data centres.

“The steady pipeline of projects reflects Binastra’s capability to meet the evolving demands of the Klang Valley market, blending technical expertise with a commitment to energy-efficient, sustainable solutions,” he said.
