Ramssol Eyes Sales Of Up To 200,000 Used Motorcycles Through Rider Gate

By Zufazlin Baharuddin

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 18 (Bernama) -- Ramssol Group Bhd is targeting to sell 100,000 to 200,000 used motorcycles this year through its digital platform, Rider Gate, developed by its subsidiary RAMS Autotech.

Group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Cllement Tan Chee Seng is optimistic of the target on strong market demand for used motorcycles in the country.

“In a year, about two million used motorcycle transactions take place.

“So, hopefully we can transact around 100,000 to 200,000 bikes, representing 10 per cent of the market's motorbikes transacted for a year,” he told Bernama after the launch of Rider Gate which was officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

He said Rider Gate, the online platform in Malaysia for used motorcycles, enters the market with more than 150 registered dealers and targets to grow its network to 1,000 dealers within the first year of its launch.

“We are already onboard in places like Kuala Selangor and Seremban, so we have to rush to the remaining states, including Sabah and Sarawak,” he added.

In his speech, Cllement Tan said Rider Gate is an application designed to make motorcycle transactions easier, faster and safer.

“This application offers a comprehensive solution for everyone by providing access to high-quality motorcycles, transparent services and free inspections,” he said.

Meanwhile, Loke said in his speech that the platform gives confidence to users by ensuring that every transaction is done transparently and free from any risk of fraud.

“Rider Gate shows how technology can be used to solve challenges that have long plagued the used motorcycle market, such as the risk of fraud, unclear ownership records and concerns about mechanical defects.

"It not only makes life easier for consumers, but also contributes to the economic development of the country which encourages more ethical and sustainable business activities," he said.

Rider Gate has entered into a memorandum of agreement with eAuto Sdn Bhd to simplify and enhance ownership transfer services, ensuring compliance and a hassle-free process.
